Privacy Policy

Last updated: 24 June 2026

This policy explains what personal information the 7Bit review site collects, why we hold it, and the rights you have over it under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020. We are a review site, not a casino, so the data we handle is limited and we keep it that way on purpose.

What we collect

Two things, in the main. First, basic analytics about how the site is used, such as pages viewed, rough location at city level, and the type of device, gathered through cookies. Second, anything you choose to send us through the contact form, which is usually a name, an email address and your message. We do not ask for, and have no use for, gambling account details or identity documents.

Why we hold it and for how long

Analytics help us see which reviews are useful and where the site needs work. Contact details are kept only as long as it takes to deal with your message and any follow-up. Once a matter is closed, correspondence is cleared on a regular cycle rather than stored indefinitely.

Sharing

We do not sell your information. It is shared only with the service providers that make the site run, such as our analytics and hosting partners, and only to the extent they need it. Those providers process data under their own agreements and applicable law.

Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you and request a correction. Write to us through the contact page and we will respond within the statutory timeframe. If you are unhappy with how we handle a request, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.

Security and changes

The site runs over an encrypted connection and access to any contact data is restricted. We may update this policy as the site evolves, and the date above will always show when it last changed.
